Credit where it's due: Kaku is one of the best science communicators alive — he's pulled more teenagers toward physics than any funding program ever did. That gift is real. But fluency isn't accuracy. When string theory gets called a confirmed "Theory of Everything," and a Hawking line becomes Einstein's, the boundary between hypothesis and result quietly dissolves — and that boundary is the entire game. This kind of dialogue is both necessary and valuable. Concepts such as parallel universes, wormholes, or cosmic “gateways” are fascinating. However, when the distinctions between mathematical speculation, theoretical models, and empirical evidence are not clearly explained, they can easily blur the public’s understanding of what is established science and what remains an open hypothesis. At the same time, I find the search for a unified description of nature deeply inspiring. The possibility that the four fundamental interactions might eventually be expressed through a compact mathematical framework remains one of the most beautiful ambitions in physics. I was also intrigued by Kaku’s references to music. In a broader sense, music is itself a structured symbolic language built on patterns, proportion, rhythm, and relationships. Mathematics functions in a similar way—not merely as numbers, but as a universal symbolic language for expressing structure. At their core, both are systems for describing structure, pattern, and relationships, qualities that also appear throughout physics. Perhaps human beings create different symbolic systems—music, mathematics, language, and physical equations—but they may all be attempts to describe the same underlying reality from different perspectives. Thank you again for encouraging careful thinking while remaining open to big questions. Science advances through curiosity, skepticism, rigorous reasoning, and respectful debate.
