After Christian Smalls and his team of organizers won the recent vote for the Staten Island Amazon fulfillment center to join a union, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted her support. Smalls and commentator Krystal Ball both took issue with AOC’s comments, noting that the New York are legislator had done virtually nothing to use her power and influence to support the unionization effort, leading to a testy back-and-forth on Twitter.
