In the games, it was always airborne and characters had to wear gas masks whenever they went into areas with spores. I think they mentioned in season 1 that they didn't want to use spores because they didn't want another show where Pedro Pascal was stuck wearing a mask half the time
Thank you for sticking with the show. Every week I can't wait for your reaction, like other comments have mentioned the game introduced spores much earlier than the show has. While the show has stayed mostly true to the game there has been variations and I'm interested to see where they take it. You are right for sticking with the show, it was just as hard for us who had to witness what happened to Joel in the game and keep moving forward.

Since Nora is already dying, the thing about the hallway scene is Ellie can make it more painful, if she doesn't tell her what she wants to know.
It's quite sad that so many people stopped watching because they won't get closure for Ellie & Joel's relationship which will still be revealed.
14:10 I find this a very underrated and unsettling head bob
I tip my hat to the production designer for that basement scene.
