RIP Lorenzo Salgado. One's citizenship status should not be a death penalty. He had a right to basic human dignity. We need to do better.
I am a Texan. I was born in Houston. He and his family belong to us. My heart is broken for the beloved family he has left behind. I think ICE may have just delivered this Senate seat to James Talarico.
Lorenzo probably didn’t even know they were ICE, in their unmarked cars and their full face masks. His son said he was always worried about being robbed for his tools. Who knows how many similar stories are buried, but I’m glad this one is getting some deserved attention
There are a whole lot of people here that live in terror of ICE, it's awful.
If there’s video that even hints to it being justified they would have already released it.
