I had no idea there’d be more films so that ending was ROUGH the film is still absolutely fantastic though!
The pacing of the film was smoother than butter. It was the fastest 2 hours and 20 minutes in my life because how much I enjoyed it
The fact that they made a sequel that’s as good as the first movie is incredible
I love how Spots went from a goofy character to one of one the most creepiest villains I've ever seen
The different art styles for each spider man is insane, for example with Hobie he is constantly changing, he never stays one color because he mentions that he hates consistency, which is such a great detail.
I loved how the art style for each dimension remained consistent with the comics. Like how Gwen’s universe follows that airy water colour look from her comics.
I think we can all agree that Hobie is a G. He told Miles how to use his powers properly so he could escape, said good when he was told that he wasn’t helping and then gave Gwen his dimension traveler so she can save Miles
I really liked the villain, he was goofy as hell at the begin but also weirdly genuine which didn't make his quirky aspects unbearably. He wants to be taken seriously and as he gets stronger and more calculated we have to take him seriously.
I think there was a conclusion at the end. It was Gwen's arc being completed, her pitch to other spiders and us to save miles. Her going against the spider society and making up with her dad, I think that's a perfect ending to her arc considering we started the movie with her
I was so happy that Spot was eventually taken seriously in this film. As a character, he admittedly is kind of goofy (his first comic appearance literally had Spider-Man burst out laughing when he fought him), but he can also be potentially terrifying, which the movie adapted wonderfully.
