Every time I hear Bart laugh, I imagine him refraining from saying “Bless your heart” to Danny.

This video came across my feed apparently bc I have been listening to Bart Ehrman for years. I'm half way through and simply cannot stomach any more. Bart is the epitome of grace and tolerance. And patience. He should be sainted for sitting through this podcast.

I like this guy. Truth matters to him. He’s a no nonsense straight shooter. There are far too many scholars and regular dummies these days where truth isn’t the aim but clickbait or plausible mind candy for interesting conversation and headlines. This guy I could trust anything he has to say is as close to truth as he knows. Not saying he is right about or knows everything but is anchored in that pursuit honestly. Just refreshing and much needed in our culture and society.
