Humans: "Everything fits into neat categories." Universe: "I'm still not sure why you think that"
"How's life?" "Complex."
"Giant Viruses" sounds like a phenomenal B-grade scf-fi horror movie
My favorite definition of life is “A dynamic resistance to entropy”.
5:50 - I'm old enough to have an Andromeda Strain flashback.
I love that as we learn more, less and less of our previously known systems are not binary, they are all gradients. Which makes sense for nature, doing things gradually over a long time, of course everything would be a gradient and not in neat boxes.
I love the idea of the viracell. It makes sense that whatever genetic information dominates the protein production in a cell should determine the cell type.
Thank you Anton for always fascinating videos!
So what you're saying is, "Life, uh, finds a way."
Love this channel, you always have new things to learn.
