The last time I was in Detroit was 2009 and there were already abandoned half-burnt houses, empty lots, people still living in houses damaged by fires, etc. It looked like there had been a war there. What used to be streets lined with large family homes with yards and gardens looked like they had been bombed. And this was 2009!

America wages endless wars in the name of repairing the world and promoting the highest values of a civilized and democratic world. I know of no greater hypocrisy. It’s always ends in terrible human suffering,ruin,civil war,imposed and subservient dictatorship,poverty,emigration and chaos for decades.
