I am an absolute sucker for the Japanese trope of “hero lunges to attack villain, hero winds up behind villain motionless, villain moves and falls dead to the ground.”
"The Village Bride" and "The Ninth Jedi" are hands down the best episodes of this season. "The Duel", "The Twins", "The Elder" and "Lop and Ocho" are pretty good as well. Imma start saying this in both English and Japanese from now on.🤣 フォースと共にあらんことを May The Force Be With You
This is my favorite and the same with a lot of people on the internet, which I am glad
The standout for this episode is the music by Kevin Penkin. In all of his work (Tower of God, Rising of the Shield Hero, but *especially* Made in Abyss) everything just feels so unbelievably massive and conveys such a sense of mystery. I highly recommend listening to his other stuff, it's really great.
Definitely my favorite episode. The slow burn, character interactions, and the SCORE. Oof! Such a good episode.
Can we give it up for the husband for CARRYING HIS WHOLE WIFE UP A MOUNTAIN

George Takei was actually in a season 1 episode of the Clone Wars. He was a Nemoidan who attacked a village with a super weapon. I think it's the 20th episode but I could be wrong.
I love this episode. This is an example of what I wish there was more of in star wars. World building, slow but consistent pacing, good beats, and a bit of action. That and the art style is 👌
