This was basically a GenX documentary. We lived this as kids.
Every time a millennial watches TBNB a GenX kid gets his wings.
Thank you for watching the original Not the remake
*Cassie, I can confirm that in the early- mid 1970's. this was EXACTLY what Little League baseball was like. My coach drank beer, cussed (us too) and barely was conscious.* Our winning strategy was let the F A T kid get hit by a pitch, me or another fast runner pinch-ran, stole bases, etc. We won our division. *OAK HILL PIRATES, St. Louis, MO - 1974/75.*
I was eight when it came out. Back then, an eight year old could get into a movie like this without an adult. Part of the whole latch key kid experience.
Saying Engelberg could play two positions at once was an insult. He was basically saying he was so large he could take up two spots.
We were built different back then.....LOVE IT.
This is the most 70s thing ever. Walter Matthew was born for this role. One of my favorite movies.
As a 70’s kid, this movie is a perfect immersion into the look and feel of the decade we grew up in.
Tanner is all about the smoke, that kid would throw hands in a second.
