So many good stories are told with earnest work during this time. Thanks for this story … light in the dark storytelling. Thank you George Clooney. We do have to tell the truth. ❤️
"Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two equals four. If that is granted all else will follow." --Winston Smith, Orwell's 1984
Honesty and courage in journalism is what we need so badly right now. More than ever. This play should be shown in every classroom. Of course that won't happen.
I can only wish that I could watch CBS here in Sweden, but I get my fiull on Youtube. This was great!
I remember watching Edward R. Morrow on TV in the 50's and had so much respect for him even though I was only a child. Saw the film, "Good Night and Good Luck", and thought it was excellent, brought back my childhood memories of Morrow with an added bonus of behind the scenes elements I wouldn't have completely understood as a child. Now Broadway, and I'm so happy to see it getting even more exposure, though I won't be able to see that version. I really miss the legendary newsmen, Huntley and Brinkley, the intelligence and courage of Morrow, beloved and trusted, Walter Cronkite, when news was serious and covered important issues.
This is the best acting i've ever seen from George Clooney. 😂🤣
If you tell the truth as you see it, you never have to remember what you said.
I remember clips of Murrow when I was a kid. Someone who was so respected. After the fall of McCarthyism there was a sense of what he had done for us. Thank you George! So happy you have created this.
Thank you CBS for this short video, even if its not 60 minutes long.
There’s something timeless about the way George Clooney carries himself- not just as an actor, but as a man with purpose. This interview goes beyond fame or film. It’s about integrity, legacy and knowing who you are when the spotlight fades. What really stayed with me was how he balances charm with depth and how he’s used his platform not just for storytelling but for impact. It’s rare to see someone evolve publicly with this kind of grace and conviction.
