The Xeelee Sequence is criminally underrated in terms of long form video content on YouTube. Quinn, I’m counting on you to do this fascinating series justice 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
QUINN, in any universe you get an automatic 👍🏿
I always love time loop stuff and the theme of an inevitable end. The Xeelee's determination to ensure their victory resulting in the eventual end of all things is so fascinating.
In the novel Exultant, baxter writes this history of the creation universe. He makes an entry every other chapter like a story within a story. It's possibly the coolest thing I've ever read. He writes an epic about warring civilizations that feels like millions of years have passed, and then he tells you it all played out in the first microsecond. Another epic story, and he tells you the universe is now a centimeter across. another tale about generations of beings fighting for survival...and it's actually the story of matter and antimatter. I've actually read just that portion of the book a dozen times. It deserves its own video!. I believe it starts near the end of the story...mid 30s chapters.
Thank you for coming back to the Sequence. I've been thoroughly enjoying your description of those books
3 body problem is unsettling. Id say the worst situation to be in would be a world where Lovecraft tentacle monsters can manipulate us without ever being seen.
9:07 "We're here because we're here because we're here...."
