Oh my God, my last boss tried the whole. You don't sound sick Spiel with me, so I'm like, "Okay, fine, I'll come in." And within 10 seconds, of me being there I was throwing up in front of customers. I work in food service, so you can guess how well that Went over. And said boss was reprimanded and was later fired for unrelated issues.
Story 3 literally described being a pushover in the most pushover way possible lol
The phrase “the customer is always right.” Is a beaten dead horse that is just a grease spot on the floor.
Third story: OP’s girlfriend taught him well … too well.
Fun fact. Even in a two party consent State, the moment that it is announced that a call is being recorded, if you don't say you don't consent or in case it's an automated call, if you continue the conversation after being notified you are giving you are implied consent
S1: True in one party consent states you don’t need to inform the other party of the recording, but if you do notify the other party at the beginning that the interaction is being recorded, any misconduct by the other party will appear especially damning. Jury or bench trial, hearing someone trying to intimidate a worker for exercising their contractual rights after they are told that the interaction is being recorded looks even worse, because it demonstrates that the other party is knowingly doing something wrong and they just don’t care. That tends to piss off judges and juries.
"I'm not a pushover, I just literally let people walk all over me"
Nothing warms my heart more than dickheads getting EXACTLY what they ask for.
7:19 "Not because I'm a pushover, but..." *proceeds to define a pushover*
“I always agree to things. I’m not a pushover, I just find it easier” Yes OP. That’s called a pushover.
