Story 1: I can't believe they actually accepted those orders. I think it would be normal to have a policy to only be allowed to order like 10 per hour and if you wanted more, you'd have to notify the store at least 24h in advance, so that staff would be available for the order.
Story 1: I cannot believe they actually wrote up that poor girl who left her break to help them… Honestly if that had been me i would have quit on the spot
Story 1: 55 BURGERS, 55 FRIES, 55 TACOS, 55 PIES, 55 COKES, 100 TATER TOTS, 100 PIZZAS, 100 TENDERS, 100 MEATBALLS, 100 COFFEES, 55 WINGS, 55 SHAKES, 55 PANCAKES, 55 PASTAS, 55 PEPPERS AND 155 TATERS!
Last story - consultation in this case is more like negotiation. It is the requirement for employers to engage in genuine and meaningful dialogue with employees and their representatives about workplace changes that could significantly impact them
4:18 "All the customers were high and dumb...unlike the managers who were just dumb." You kidding those were fast food managers, those guys are perpetually *blasted* 24/7. Drug-sniffing dogs sneeze just looking at them.
Story 1: I'm a stoner, but not a hard-core stoner. Hearing those McDonald's orders made my gut wrench. The most I'll get while under the influence is a 20pc, basket of fries, and 2 burgers.
I don't think mcdonald's would allow for that amount of orders to go through unless they schedule the order for a certain time because of the fact that it would take up a lot of resources as well as it sounds like a catering situation. That's somebody obviously didn't do their homework on.
Story 2: One thing I really hate is that even though it's her fault for telling OP to not bother her and not say anything, only for her to still bring up excuses and BS to somehow make it OP'S fault. Like, girl, you are so far up your own a** you couldn't admit you were wrong and will always forever be everyone's fault but yours.
I’ve heard some of these stories before (including the first one) on other channels a week or 2 ago, so I’m assuming this is a day-off video. Enjoy the day off, RSlash! Also, the first story is absolutely insane. The girl who got written up for going back early when she was threatened with being written up for not going back…? The logic doesn’t logic.
Story 1: I used to be a manager at McDonald's. While what the managers did wasn't good, I guarantee it was out of panic. If you stopped making all other orders and only focused on the quarter pounder order you would get them done in 20-30 minutes and have a whole load of angry customers. The problem starts with the customers who decided to order these with no call ahead (high or not). Then, it falls onto the managers for not refusing the order. As for the break thing, I don't know what state this takes place in, but in most states, labor laws require managers to offer breaks based on the duration of the shift, and it requires employees to take them. Because of the it was most likely the franchise owner or McDonald's corporate who made the break rule to begin with. The response to the situation also sounds like they knew how much legal trouble they would be in if they were sued for employees not taking breaks. The managers just needed better training.
