I'm watching Finding Forrester (2000) for the first time. This was one of my mom's Mother's Day poll picks, and I went in mostly knowing Sean Connery was in it and hoping for a good mentor story. I did not expect it to feel so tender and cozy, but also make me so protective of Jamal. I loved the friendship between Jamal and William, I believed both of them, and by the end I completely understood why my mom wanted me to watch this one. "You're the man now, dog!" Words coming from James Bond.

She's smiling throughout the entire movie. That's refreshing.

Underrated and most slept on movie. This was Rob Browns first acting role and he was absolutely brilliant. He was also in "Coach Carter". Also, one of my favorite films ever growing up. Thanks for watching and love the reaction as always!

‘Stick to the soup questions’ has been a life mantra of mine for decades. One of many lessons I’ve held onto from this movie.

Sean Connery: "Today a book fell on my head...I blame my shelf."

For 26 years I have been randomly saying "You're the man now, dog." when someone does something I like. This movie just stays with you for some reason. And with Sean Connery being my favorite actor of all time, it definitely is a must watch for me.

This movie inadvertently created an early 2000s fad that evolved into a funny website. Someone had the idea to loop Connery saying "You're the man now, dog!!" over a movie still, and it evolved into a meme making machine.
