@EmilyDBaker I think the best defense for HG is that she was psychologically browbeaten and coerced into rushing through her job by Alec Baldwin and the AD. The power dynamic that she was caught up in could definitely have put her in a frame of mind where she could be coerced into acting in line with "this is how we do things" or "it's industry standard". She was asking for more training and time to do her job and was denied. While she has some culpability in the result, she was new to the job and the industry and could easily be swayed by her supervisors who either quite possibly abdicated their responsibilities, (Sarah and Seth) rushed her, AD and Alec Baldwin, or straight up intimidated her, AD and Alec Baldwin. I'm reminded of certain military trials where the lowest ranking person becomes the sacrificial lamb. Hope that the result of this trial is fair to everyone.

I think Hannah was negligent but I also don't want to see her go to jail when David Hall got off so lightly. It doesn't feel fair

God, he raised his concerns regarding safety, and was ignored in the most arrogant way (ie no acknowledgment just walking off). Even more cross that this other dude got a sweet deal. 😡 This witness did such a good job up there. Very difficult.

I think the most frustrating thing is the lack of accountability for all parties involved. It’s gross that Halls only got 6 months probation because he was able to have a plea deal.

The power imbalance issue is exactly why the most senior and business owners should be the ones held most responsible. They’re the ones in the position to control the situation.
