For number 3, that doesn't feel vindictive, it feels like these kids are spoiled and want the trip, but not OP. OP mentions that his ex wife's father is rather wealthy, and it sounds like they kinda decided to go majority with mom kinda for that reason. It doesn't sound like OP is purposefully holding it out for them to see and gloating about going on this trip, it feels like they found out because OP couldn't take them during that time he's away (like pickup and dropoff) and they thought they'd just get to go with him. This doesn't feel malicious from OP, this feels like OP is trying to have away time with his wife and the cousin and his kids kinda just thought they'd get to go without actually realizing their actions have consequences.
