Let’s talk about what ruins your metabolism more: dieting or stress? There are various factors involved in metabolism, including: • Your history of dieting • Your stress level • How much sleep you get • Your age • What you eat • How often you eat • How much exercise you get It might surprise you that your metabolism is not actually ruined or damaged. The factors above don’t ruin your metabolism—they make your metabolism more efficient. What’s happening with someone struggling to burn fat is that their fat cells are efficient. We need to force the body to waste more fat instead of being more efficient. On keto, you burn more fat and waste more fat. Insulin is a fat-storing hormone that controls how efficient the fat cells are. When insulin is high, the body stores fat. When insulin is low, the body can burn fat. Our goal is to lower insulin. When it comes to what’s worse for your metabolism and weight loss—past dieting vs. stress—the answer is stress. How to fix metabolism and lose weight: 1. Lower your stress and increase your sleep 2. Start intermittent fasting and get on the Healthy Keto diet 3. Exercise Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Sir I am doing IF with hypothyroidism, its really working for me. I am doing it from last one and a half month. I can easily fast up to 18 to 19 hours. I am lecturer of biology and my feasting window is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. I am very much relaxed and determined. Very easy and comfortable thing. Thanks for all your videos as they are the source of motivation for all of us. Always stay blessed.

When you talked about mood, it was something that hit home for me. I’m sure many of you can relate to this but, once I gave up the crap, it felt like I snapped out of it. I don’t realize how bad off I was mentally. I thought to myself what in the world have I been doing that last 25 years of my life. Living in a fog.

by far the hardest part of fasting is the boredom. If you've never done a multiday fast, you have no idea the enormous amount of your daily time is spent thinking about, preparing, or eating food. Depending on your lifestyle, it can be really hard to fill all that extra free time. If you want a fast to be easy, start it when you are very busy

Stress- job related(a nurse), divorce, loss of both parents unexpectedly, retirement, covid(lack of ability to travel), then last straw the death of my beloved Abbey, my furbaby. Coming home to empty house. Loneliness. In that order. Glad I found you tho. Life, health very slowly getting better

Excellent video, but you forgot to mention how plant seed oils are contributing massively to insulin resistance and weight gain. All RBD plant oils (canola, soybean, sunflower, safflower, palm, etc.) should be avoided like the plague.

My Mom’s death and my abusive relationship brought me to the most I have ever weighed. Being stuck with my husband during the pandemic, not being able to escape. I moved out in December and I have lost 17 pounds so far.
