I really, really like the defense attorney. He’s very good with his questions, he’s direct, he’s low keyed, calm, and precise.
I’m really liking the way the defense is going about questioning. So much of a difference from the AM trial. The prosecution is really off putting in this one.
I bet the jury wishes they could listen to him at 1.25 speed.
FBI Scientist Shannon Prince was fantastic. Absolutely kept my attention!
Oh how I do miss your sassy humor Emily. Don’t have much time to keep up with cases but as someone who trained and worked as a gun wrangler, this case gets to me!
I do feel somebody was negligent, but. For me it keeps coming back down to. She was told she only had eight days to be the armor. She was told she was out of armor days. So if that was me in that situation, I would say, OK, I'm not the armor, I'm the proper person. And I wouldn't have been handling the guns, because if I'm not the armor, I'm not going to touch them. And that's where it keeps boiling down for me. Was she the armor? Or not because the emails were saying she's not. And if she's not, she wasn't responsible for any of this. And it keeps coming up that her boss threw away the bullets and everything else. That's a very serious problem. Which leads me to wonder if she is the one that put the live round in there.
The way I screamed “AMICA CREAM!” when the defense attorney said “Latin Print”…😂😂
Replay crew here. So far I'm feeling guilty for one single reason. She loaded a live round into a weapon when she shouldn't have. I don't care who brought the rounds on set or how messy the prop house was, I don't care who pulled the trigger or if a trigger was ever pulled, I don't care if someone tried to deliberately sabotage her by planting rounds, I only care that her job was to check those rounds and load only dummy rounds into the weapon, she didn't do that and now a woman is dead. I can't see how anything the defence could say would make it OK that a professional whose sole job was to identify dummy rounds and use only them, didn't. All that said, I'd be ok with probation only as a sentence. Her actions were undoubtedly stupid, but I don't think she ever intended to hurt anyone. I can't see how prison would be beneficial for her or anyone else.
Maybe the judge asked the jury if they overheard when the lawyers approached the bench and spoke off mic. She seemed a little concerned about her microphone being on at the wrong times.
Bowls is smooth, courteous and his questions were concise instead of attacking and I felt very effective.
