I lived in a party house in college. I would NOT have contacted police because someone I didn't know was in the house, or I heard my roommate crying, or I heard a roommate doing something that sounded like playing with a dog. Why would I have contacted police about that? Seems excessive and unwarranted. The roommates didn't know what had happened. People need to remember that. We have hindsight. They didn't. Think, people, think.
I’m Canadian. My mom had a stroke whilst in Arizona. As soon as she was stabilized at the nearest hospital, Canadian healthcare arranged a medical charter flight to get her and my Dad into a stroke rehab in Montreal. It was literally cheaper for healthcare to charter a private flight from Arizona to Montreal than to pay even one more day in the American hospital.
Talking about the roommates not calling the police until later, Emily, you are spot on. I work in student housing, they will frequently wait until the next day to call about a concern siting that they don’t want anyone to get in trouble. Sometimes it’s tough like young women separated from their friends, intoxicated, and lost or property damage or sounds similar to fighting. I have seen some sad results because college student don’t want to cause trouble by alerting help right away.
Prayers for Hoege Law. Get better buddy. We miss you and wish you all the best. 😊
Thank you. I’m going through a really rough long term relationship break up rn and this is exactly what I needed to get my mind somewhere else for a few hours
I subbed to Hoeg Law and I've watched 321 videos on his channel since this happened. Let's keep the support going!
Your reaction to his lawyer's perspective of social media made me laugh so hard I almost choked on my cuppa tea. You're brilliant
I listened to the defense attorney interview earlier today in shock, then literally said (out loud) “ohhhh boy, wait til Emily hears this shit” 😤
Prayers for Rick and the entire Hoeg family. You got this, Rick 💞💐
Wow! Replay got me through preparing dinner, cleaning up, 3 loads of laundry and prep for tomorrow… Thanks Emily!
