Discover how modern distractions are critically rewiring your brain and learn the research-backed 12-minute technique to reclaim control over your attention starting today.

Short Summary

  • Rebuild attention using mental exercises proven effective for elite athletes and special forces personnel.
  • Understand the three distinct brain systems governing focus, alertness, and executive control.
  • Leverage neuroscience to counteract natural attention decline that typically begins after age 35.
  • Recognize that the brain treats worrying about future stress the same way it treats real-world demand, depleting resources preemptively.

You will gain the scientific context for attention and receive a concrete, minimum dosage prescription—just 12 minutes, four days a week—to strengthen this trainable, yet fragile, mental system.

Ok so I put my art on hold for over 10 years, husband, kids, animals, job etc 😅… I’m now 45 and I’ve decided I want to start painting again as I’m passionate about it. Well I started about a month ago, couldn’t focus at all, felt like that part of my brain was blocked… I turned up everyday, even if I couldn’t do it, just stared at the canvas for the first 3 days 😂 after 3 weeks I could paint again like I use too 🎉

While I love Mel’s podcast, I’m gonna be honest and cut through the noise and save you an hour. The 12 minutes is to meditate. This is an episode to remind you about the benefits of meditation. If you already meditate there is no secret new framework or lifehack here, it is just reminding you to meditate daily. A little tired of the clickbait. You’re welcome.

I had heard for years that women were multi-taskers (some would even brag about it). However, I always found that I was much better at a task when I gave it my full focus; the results were far better. Thanks for proving me right.

Attention is extremely powerful capacity that you hold. It is trainable. Three Attention System: 1. Flashlight - Selective Attention 2. Flashflood - Alerting System 3. Juggler - Executive Functioning Mindfulness Triangle: Focus, notice, re-focus Sample practice mindfulness anywhere (using STOP) S-top T-ake a breath O-bserve P-roceed

It’s so true!! Our attention has become rare currency. We’re spreading ourselves so thin that presence feels foreign. We’re so quick to capture the moment with our phones that we forget to be in it. I really needed this reminder to be more intentional about where my focus goes. Thank you. 🧠 💫
