When Dr. Mike was talking about why doctors get burned out – that they want to do the right thing, but the system is set up so that they cannot - I could really relate to it because I am a teacher. Many of us feel the same way. We see that there are major problems in the system, but there’s no way for us to change the system as we have no voice in the decision-making process. We do, however, have front row seats to see exactly what the effects of the decisions are. They range from irritating to tragic.

I had the worst experience with Doctors when I needed them most. At 49 my health fell apart, physically, emotionally and mentally. I was given medication for every symptom. I told the Dr I don’t feel good on this pill time and time again. I was told try this one and that went on for a few years. I wanted to end my life. Out of sheer desperation to sleep I began walking around the neighborhood. This simple change helped me lose 50 pounds and Eliminate all Medications. That was fifteen years ago, today I’m fifty pounds lighter and still medication free. I’m still so scared of the health care system. Those doctors didn’t even talk to me about my condition just gave me pills, they profited from. If I ended my life I would have missed so many beautiful memories with my children. I advocate now for my health and others.

I've read that US hospitals also put things on the bill that they didn't provide! It's straight up fraud at this point.

Most people are chasing longevity like it’s a product, when it’s really a pattern. Daily habits; not hacks; are what actually extend your life.

Whoa, Doctor Mike, listen… this title of yours is so powerful it made me sit up straight like someone’s auntie who just heard the family gossip she’s been waiting for all year, and honestly, thank you for creating something that feels like a public service announcement wrapped in a wellness intervention wrapped in a gentle slap of reality. So… picture this: the other day I’m in my kitchen, right, trying to be productive, trying to communicate with my body like “hey girl, let’s be healthy today,” and suddenly my stomach goes “Ha!” like it’s auditioning for a comedy special, and I’m standing there thinking, goodness, maybe I’ve been living inside one of these health lies you’re talking about. And then, oh my, I remembered the time I tried a detox tea that promised to “reset my life,” and instead it reset my entire schedule because I spent the whole afternoon negotiating with my bathroom like “please, I have things to do.” Honestly, classic me. And as I’m watching your video title, I’m like “Right… so maybe the real productivity hack is not believing every wellness trend that pops up looking shiny and innocent.” Because, wow, I used to think communication was about emails and meetings, but apparently it’s also about telling myself the truth like “Luise, you cannot fix your life with lemon water alone.” And phew, what a relief to finally admit that. So yes, thank you for calling out the nonsense with such clarity, because now I’m inspired to stop outsourcing my health to random influencers and start listening to actual science while laughing at myself along the way.
