Description

SpaceX may be heading toward one of the biggest IPOs in history, and the implications go far beyond Wall Street. In this video, we break down why Elon Musk’s rocket company could become a public market giant, how Starlink changes the valuation story, and why investors are watching this so closely. We’ll also look at what a SpaceX IPO could mean for Tesla, the space economy, satellite internet, defense contracts, and the future of private companies becoming too important to ignore. ______________________________________________ My Links 🔗 ➡️ Twitter: https://x.com/WesRoth ➡️ AI Newsletter: https://natural20.beehiiv.com/subscribe Want to work with me? You're comparing the wrong numbers with Saudi Aramco. The billion number is the amount raised by the IPO, the trillion number is the market cap - I assure you, Saudi Aramco's market cap was much, much higher than 29 billion. The right number for comparison is that SpaceX's IPO is looking to raise about 85 billion. edit: Which, given the small fraction of total SpaceX shares that go on the market with the IPO, equates to a total value of all shares (market cap) of 2 trillion.

not quite, Wes, when you said if you don't like elon you don't have to buy spacex, for a lot of institutional funds, they buy sp 500 index funds or nasdaq 100 funds, and sp 500 has a size threshold where if a company exceeds that size they become part of the sp 500, and all the big institutional investors HAVE TO BUY the stock. elon specifically negotiated with nasdaq to decrease the TIME you have to be greater than the threshold, to like 15 days, so index funds HAVE TO BUY the stock before the market has had a chance to value the stock. elon is shaking down the nasdaq and the big institutional funds.

Outstanding vid Wes. I see now why you were asking who "controls" a company in that survey question. Sounds like all you need is 9 Class B shares to dictate where $50+ billion goes. BTW I'm selling blood plasma to make sure I can grab 9 shares of SpaceX.👍📈🚀
