Raising a child in too sterile an environment could be bad for them, excessive washing can damage the skin and being in too clean of an environment can cause them to develop allergies

What plane of reality is OP’s extended family living in that they think an adult spending their own hard-earned money makes them spoiled? What lunatics.

Story 2: Does she realize that keeping a tooth brush in a plastic ziplock bag can allow germs and bacteria to breed on her toothbrush because of the moisture? But, as someone who's niece stays with her a lot, kids are messy. They also get sick super easy.

Free lodging, clean basement, all they had to do was walk upstairs… and they still chose the gamer fuel bottle route 💀.

Shit ... even if she didn't want kids, the germaphobe needs treatment. Her condition WILL get worse. She's already pretty bad if she's showering 2-3 times a day. A friend of mine progressed from that stage to showering for 5-6 HOURS per day and only using newly-opened packaged goods once before tossing them and getting a new one pretty quickly. Any indulgence of the phobia will make it worse.

wedding story: That isn't just the 20 k. EVERYTHING is booked, the wedding was planned for 18 months and the wedding is in a few weeks. That late in the game we're talking about 60 to 80 k to rebook everything - for an aunt who acts like a High Schooler at her first breakup.

Story 3: NTA. How is she being "spoiled" when she is already financially independent from her parents? Plus, she wasn't even flaunting her stuff and and shoving her luxuries into other's faces, that's just being modest. I don't know what the sister-in-law is going about here, she is likely jealous of Danica, and if anything, THEIR daughter is more spoiled if anything.

I know someone who grew up in a sterile environment. They were always ill because they never developed the immunity to daily bacteria. Also, I'm in my 30's. Me and my mom still meet up sometimes for mother-son days like shopping and going to the cinema. So yeah. Bonding.

Final story: it's super obvious (to me anyway) husband was desperately trying to neg OP into going to a different restaurant without outright saying they should go to a different restaurant. Like complaining about the prices, the smells, the wait time, then when it was obvious he wasn't getting his way, he snapped at OP and demanded she not spend much money for no reason. He was actively trying to ruin the dinner, so they'd go somewhere else. OP's husband is acting like a spoiled toddler.
