Stop calling it an affair. If he was pressuring her, it was sexual harassment. A crime. For which she felt such distress she killed herself. Words matter.

He harassed her until she gave in. The poor woman set herself on fire. This is why power imbalance is so evil. He constantly bothered her texting her to send him vulgar photographs. I think she was afraid not to, her culture may have been where she thought she couldn’t say no, then the shame of it destroyed her. May the poor woman rest in peace. It’s truly like some hideous tragic novel.
Maybe the widower should sue for defamation.
