Tara Erickson & Aaron Alexander set sail once again for a swashbuckling YouTube Reaction & Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), the fifth installment in Disney’s beloved pirate saga. Directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, the film finds Captain Jack Sparrow down on his luck until he's thrust into another supernatural conflict—this time against the vengeful ghostly Captain Salazar and his deadly crew, who have escaped from the Devil’s Triangle with one mission: to kill every pirate at sea, especially Jack. Johnny Depp (Edward Scissorhands, Fantastic Beasts) reprises his iconic role as the rum-soaked and cunning Captain Jack Sparrow. Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, Skyfall) joins the franchise as the terrifying Captain Armando Salazar, whose black ooze and haunting undead ship leave a trail of dread across the seas. Brenton Thwaites (Titans, Gods of Egypt) stars as Henry Turner, son of Will and Elizabeth, seeking to free his father from the Flying Dutchman’s curse. Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner, Crawl) plays Carina Smyth, a brilliant and headstrong astronomer with a mysterious past. Returning favorites include Geoffrey Rush (Shine, The King's Speech) as Captain Hector Barbossa, and Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings, Troy) and Keira Knightley (Pride & Prejudice, Love Actually) in memorable appearances as Will and Elizabeth Turner. Notable moments include the jaw-dropping execution escape scene in Saint Martin, the visually stunning undead shark attack, Salazar’s eerie flashback origin story, and the emotional family reunion that ties together the saga’s legacy. With dazzling visuals, magical relics like the Trident of Poseidon, and callbacks to the original trilogy, Dead Men Tell No Tales delivers a mix of nostalgia, action, and fantasy that continues the high-seas legend of Jack Sparrow. #PiratesOfTheCaribbean #DeadMenTellNoTales #JohnnyDepp #JavierBardem #JackSparrow #CarinaSmyth #HenryTurner #WillTurner #ElizabethSwan #GeoffreyRush #KayaScodelario #BrentonThwaites #TaraErickson #AaronAlexander #DisneyPirates #PiratesReaction #TridentOfPoseidon #Salazar #UndeadSharks #SwashbucklingAdventure #MovieReaction Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/NJFku0KP9-w Edward Scissorhands (1990) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/DWeYamxmC64 How to Train Your Dragon (2025) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/rHoHnZ-B6t4 Happy Gilmore 2 (2025) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/wg7kQNrZOL0 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/NpwmQCKsL5A Follow *Tara Erickson* on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@TaraErickson Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/taraerickson/ twitter: https://twitter.com/thetaraerickson Follow Aaron On Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/therealaaronalexander/?hl=en 0:00 Checking In! 1:20 Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Reaction 58:21 Patron Q&A + Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Review 1:26:39 Patron of the Day SHOUT OUT!! they needed Blackbeard's sword to free the ship which barbossa claimed in the last one. remember Blackbeard had trapped all those ships in the bottle. also Jack probably tried breaking the bottle or other methods to free the ship with the other bunch of bottled ships he took in the last one and failed until barbossa

Barbosa has the magic "Sword Of Triton" that he got when he killed Blackbeard, that's why he was able to release the Black Pearl.

When Barbossa called Carina treasure, it reminded me of Jack's line to Will in the first movie: "Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate." 💜

Will reuniting with Elizabeth is probably my favourite moment of the film.

I’m pretty sure that the way Barbosa freed the black pearl was because of the sword he used, not just cause he broke the bottle

Can someone please tell Tara that the million dollar lighthouse story isn't real, it's been automated since the 1990s.

Barbosa didn’t give Jack up to Salazar because he doesn’t actually want Salazar to break his curse and go back to hunting down pirates. He mentioned to the Witch that being a Pirate is the only real life for him. So Salazar the pirate killer is a common enemy.

Random note, but I think they did a good job finding someone that looks very similar to both Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly for their kid. In some scenes he really looks like them.
