This is what i explained to my brother recently. We both got DR citizenship a couple years ago via Ancestry...the EU and US is making 2nd citizenships harder for a reason. Something is coming down the pipe and they want everyone locked into their system. Spoiler alert...digital IDs and govt crypto currency to control you entirely
And the entire caribbean will run the same standard based on the OECS, thid is due to pressure from USA, UK, EU
I lived in St. Martin FWI for 25 years. The best years of my life. I would fly off island no more than once every 2 years to see my mother in Europe. It it had not been for that reason i could have stayed 10 years on a this tiny island without travelling. After going to the beach, swimming miles, going to the pool to swim again, running or hiking and going for beers to see the girls at the club a couple times a week i would not feel the need to go anywhere else... Life can be very simple and very pleasing.
Personally, if I get citizenship somewhere, I'd want to live there for a bit. What's the point otherwise? What does bother me is these other lock-down countries pressuring other countries to conform.
I went to St. Kitts & Nevis for my college. It's two island-country. Good ole days..
Andrew, where are you today? The room is so bright & fun:)!!!!!!!!!!!
People with money will just pay more to still have the same freedom they expect. Already got my Plan B so not interested in living in St Kitts.
Omg this IS alarming! Rich elites might get stuck ' staying put' with the serfs ! Totally unfair! 😅
Whilst you, who have opportunities to get visa free access to these countries by other means, might not care about visa free access, please remember that these countries have citizens whose only option is that same passport. Therefore, to safeguard the freedom of their OWN citizens who should come first. These countries need to comply with the bigger countries.
Finally a channel that shows actual math instead of just saying 'invest early and often' for 20 minutes straight
