I wasn't too shocked by the questions BUT that might be because locally we had a case where they had to resort to surveys to try to find an unbiased jury. Older lady, above 80 yrs old, in a really bad neighborhood had 3 self proclaimed gang members break in to her house at 3ish am while she was cooking sausage and peppers in her cast iron frying pan. The lady, who everyone calls Granny, asked them if they were hungry. She's known to feed anyone who shows up at her house at any time, help kids with homework etc. Just a really good soul. They pulled guns on her and she beat all 3 of them with her cast iron frying pan. 1 to the ICU, 1 in hospital, one got out of there. They tried 4 counties and could NOT find a group of people who would be willing to find her guilty. I was called twice during all this for a survey of this nature but sorry no way could I find anyone in their own home in the middle of the night guilty for beating up 3 huge men who broke into her home! And no I didn't care that her door is never locked so there was no true breaking in. They entered this woman's home and drew guns on her...beat them up Granny!!!
I loved Dr. Edelman. I was 100% WTF on the questions and he made me 180. It all made sense, he had receipts for other trials (including Idaho), and by the time Santa Bill attacked him I was like, "Did you hear a word he said, or u mad he quoted u bro?" I thought Judge Judge asking for a "not all things in the media are true" addition in the opening survey statement (that Dr. Edelman agreed to) was a perfectly reasonable compromise. I don't know why the JJJ couldn't rule today. Seemed obvious to me.
The slide changing to Bill’s press conference was fucking cinema. Omg I laughed so loud.
If someone called me about a survey like this, if I didn’t know about the case the first thing I’d do when I got off the phone would be to google and research it! Lol
I fell asleep with the streaming still on. I can't believe it went for 4 hours. 😳 Emily you're a champ for staying on so long. ❤
If I don’t know who’s calling, they go right to voicemail. Period.
This was like a UFC fight. I watched this alone in the middle of the night and I was yelling like it was a superbowl. The sass was next level. I'm just gonna say, mean Santa might be my favorite prosecutor. He always brings varsity-level snark to his filings and hearings. Judge Judge seems like he'd be a good dad. Anne Taylor is a fantastic lawyer....this trial is gonna be interesting
This kind of survey is not unbiased. "Have you heard of specific thing x" is still a recall question, and a suggestive one at that. You would never set up a survey that way in actual academic research. Suggestive questions can breed a feeling of familiarity, which leads people to believe they had actually heard about thing x when they had not prior to the survey. This is ridiculous.
I’m not convinced that Judge Judge isn’t trying to make this as boring as possible so the public loses interest 😂
This is, I believe, the first real opportunity we’ve seen the REAL Anne, and the REAL Bill. And I’m living for it. 100% here for them arguing back and forth.
