I am learning from the comments that there are a lot of people who absolutely hate the taste of RedBull.
“I like the chemical like taste” is the most NileRed thing ever.
It’s so funky how chemistry is this serious equation and then some things are “shake but not too hard
"No syrup left behind." Spoken like a true Canadian.
4 years later bro made red bull with lethal amount of caffeine
“Not only is it dangerous, it would also taste terrible.” Ah yes, a man with priorities.
Energy drink without the energy is just “drink”. My guy made drink
I know little enough about chemistry that I can just re-watch the videos after a while and it feels like the first time
If the goal is to remove only caffeine without altering the rest of Red Bull, one of the best approaches would be Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIP). These are synthetic materials designed to selectively bind caffeine while letting everything else pass through. You could flow the Red Bull through an MIP column and trap just the caffeine preserving the taste, sugars, and vitamins. Another potential method is supercritical CO₂ extraction, which is used in decaf coffee production. It dissolves caffeine under controlled pressure (~73 atm, 31°C) without affecting most other compounds. Would love to see if one of these works in practice! Looking forward to your experiments.
"Lemme get a energy drink, hold the energy"
