bribe or gratuity, it is unethical. Supreme Court Judges should never be receiving "gratuities" for doing their job.
The Supreme Court needs some checks and balances. They need to be able to be sued too.they are not protecting or fighting for the American Public.
When money is allowed to speak louder than people, we have a democracy in crisis.
If a judge might reasonably anticipate receiving said gratuity then that still taints the decision.
We live in the dumbest timeline.
WFT Why are the leaders and policy makers allowed to be tipped. But the guy that loads groceries in the back of the car will get fired for excepting tips
The worst part about the Supreme Court is how powerless we are to do anything about it.
On a writing discussion: AI keep saying it can write my novel and paint my masterpiece. What I really want is someone to do my dishes and clean my laundry while I write my novel or paint.
For elected officials, "gratuities" should be just as illegal as bribes. It amounts to the same thing.
