Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes reveals what happened the night his agent called with the news that United wanted him, how the club is rebuilding its winning culture, what great management and leadership actually looks like, and what really happened with the Roy Keane criticism. Bruno Fernandes is the captain of Manchester United and one of the most driven midfielders of his generation. Since joining in 2020, he has scored 108 goals in 328 appearances, won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award a record 5 times, and equalled the Premier League's all-time single-season assist record with 20 assists this season. My daughter goes to an afterschool club with Bruno’s daughter… he’s there everyday to pick her up, doesn’t send an assistant, or his wife; he’s there. And he chats away at pick-up, because he’s just another dad. Not all footballers act this way, but he is truly humble.

Imagine disliking this guy. Jealousy is a mad thing. What a man. What a player.

As a Liverpool fan, I didn’t think I’d see the day I’d get emotional over a Man United player… good human being

The balls on this man to not ask to stop the interview and speak so vulnerably about family. Truly an incredible human. I wish more people on this earth were like this

I never wanted for a player to lift the Epl trophy so bad like I do for Bruno. We all wanted this assist record for him because we know deep down that winning a prem right now is unrealistic and we want Bruno to have something like this record so he'll be remembered in the future. The way he got emotional listening to his players saying how good of a person he is away from football says so much about him as a person.

I am a Leeds fan but after this interview I have a lot of respect for Bruno. It’s so nice to see players who have real values.
