Clyburn is my congressman and I adore him, however it is time for him to retire. We need younger Representatives fighting for sensible legislation.
Experienced legislators can be expert at procedure, but they need to be able to hear and help execute ideas from younger members.
The older politicians should and could’ve been mentoring, educating, guiding and leading younger minds into these positions. Don’t pass your torch but light others to be ready to step right into these positions.
Yes!!! A significant amount of the damage you can attribute to baby boomers is due to them fighting to retain power and not knowing or wanting to pass the baton.
The problem is the seniors haven't taken time to train and prepare the next generation for leadership.
A corporate AIPAC democrat is not for the citizens just like many politicians and news outlets...to name a few! Cylburn should have been primaried just like Schummer, Jefferies and Booker! IMO the American citizens do not need politicians who are corporate/Israel first! There should be term limits to every politicians!!!
Even Thurgood Marshall knew when it was time to stepdown!
That 80 plus year old person can be VALUABLE as a Powerful MENTOR from the sideline. Put these young people in the game.
O.K., so Roland says! What the hell have we gained in the last ten years from these "Old Feather Heads"! We followed Uncle Jim and put Old Centrist" Joe Biden in office! We know it was an emergency! It's always a damn emergency in this country and the world! What the hell did we gain? What happened to "Build Back Better," The George Floyd Justice Reform Bill, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Bill? The problem is these damn Centrist Democrats in the House and Senate who take money from AIPAC and other Corporate Donors! Democratic Leadership in DC is old and obsolete! The days of bipartisanship are over! When it comes to the Black Agenda, bipartisanship is a leaky ship! This is coming from a 67-year-old black retiree! Let the Old folks Mentor the new Breed! It's time for them to go! They did their time and served us well! That was in the past! Sorry, Roland, you are losing this argument!
Clyburn wanted Biden to Pardon Trump, which tells me hes not up for the times we are in, this is not politics as usual
