My grandma gave birth to her first son 88 years ago here in Costa Rica, she swears that the baby was beautiful, healthy, fat and pink lol she saw that baby boy, nurses took him away and came back saying the baby died!!! Until the day she passed away in 2015, she still said that her baby boy was taken away!! No need to say that her next fourteen YES 14 babies were born at home, including my mom the last one in 1963 💔

I wanted to share a story from France that has stayed with me all my life. Around 35–38 years ago, a friend of my father, a married woman expecting twins, gave birth in hospital. The babies were taken away immediately and she was told they were stillborn and too “malformed” to be shown to her. She never saw her children, never held them, never had a funeral. What broke her the most was that she was convinced she heard at least one baby cry, yet the hospital insisted both were born dead. When she told me this story years later, she was still deeply devastated. I was young, but the shock of it never left me. With what I understand today, this feels deeply wrong, and I wanted you to know that stories like this happened in France too, and I fear some version of it may still be happening. this poor old lady cant even think straight she is so stressed out about this. shes jumping all over the place, completely ignoring questions and going on rants, breaking down in tears. she is deeply traumatized by this. her brain cant even keep all the information together. this is all of our grandmothers. imagine… scared, abused, lost, confused, and sad all because she skipped school a few times and some creeps saw an opportunity.
