An Australian Aboriginal proverb... “We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home.”

On April 24, 2023 my Mom went to Heaven. That was the day I lost all of my fear of death. I no longer fear my dying or anyone else that I love dying. It was the most beautiful thing seeing her be made whole. My mom and I are still extremely close. Thank you for this episode. ❤

I got unexpectedly choked up while I listened to this. I was trying to do 5000 things while I was listening to your podcast and then the moment that Dr. Zack said something all our busy self important tasks and attachments we forget we are loved beyond measure every hair on my body stood up and I got excessive teary in an unexpected way. Felt like the wind got knocked out of me. This was a beautiful conversation and I’m so glad I happened upon it! ❤

When I was 2 I had a profound spiritual experience. I grew up in the country, and my favorite spot to sit in the summer was on the front porch in my bouncy chair under the big maple. The sunlight sparkled through the leaves as a voice on a gentle breeze whispered to me. It was God. He said, "Be happy being who I created you to be." In that moment, I felt what was like a giant breathe. I felt myself become everything and everything became me. I knew I was connected to all of life. I feel very fortunate that I had this understanding from such a young age, and didn't have to go through something tragic to receive it.

He's so right about everything he's saying. We're so conditioned about life by others that we lose ourselves to be able to connect with ourselves again. We rarely, almost never just be, just live. ❤🙏🏻

I'm in my upper 60s now and since I have retired I look at things much differently and appreciate the beautiful nature around me more so than ever. I feel like i'm making peace with my life choices and taking it all in. I can so relate to this. After spending most of my adult life taking care of family members that have all passed on, I finally feel like i'm whole again as now it's my time to take care of me and enjoy life. Thank you, Mel, for bringing this topic to us as it was so eye opening an enlighting. When it's my time to exit the earth, I will feel a sense of peace, so thank you, doctor Zach.
