I feel it in bones that we’re going to get the Rodger and Hammerstein Cinderella soon . Jaby , Paolo Montalban (the Asian man ) has lines , he’s a lead lol .
Noone ever reacts to this movie. I'm so happy you guys did!! Its a childhood fav of mine! My favorite part of the story plot is Ella not only saving herself but that did it because of love . She was also the one that saves Char from his uncle.
52:42 "Dad has been 90% useless" Well, at least he's not dead, in just about every other version of Cinderella, the dad dies at the very beginning of the story.
Now I am waiting for you to watch Stardust (2007), dubbed to be "The Princess Bride of the Noughties".
Please do add "Nanny McPhee" to your watch list.
This movie feels like Shrek in live action
This is a very charming Anne Hathaway movie. Although, her character being given the gift of obedience is definitely f’ed up. She basically became a human Alexa.
We see her mom (before she died) commanding her to never tell anyone about her curse before she died, that's why she can't tell anyone. The house fairy, her fairy god mother, and the book guy don't count since they already know so they're the only ones she can talk about the curse with.
Anne Hathaway has an amazing singing voice. I LOVE how she sang "Somebody To Love" by Queen.
She broke the curse looking in the mirror and telling herself to no longer be obedient
