So let's talk reality when it comes to inflation. I have a weird habit of saving grocery receipts, I compared the same 15 grocery items that I buy every week or so, from January 2025 to January 2026, those items went up on average 15%, coffee up 30%, eggs down just 9%. My utilities went up 11%, all while trying to cut utility usage, my rent went up 10% this year, and lastly the price of gas in 2024 averaged $2.60/gal, in 2025 the average price was $3.35/gal, now it's $3.79/gal. This does not take into consideration the increase in healthcare premiums. Where is an inflation rate of 2.4% coming from, those of us in the real world know it's over 10%
