Alan Greenspan was one of the longest-serving Federal Reserve chairs in U.S. history, steering the organization for 18 years under four presidents. Greenspan knew about the Sub-prime scam and let it happen, he is as guilty as Fany May & Freddy Mack and made money under the table .. a terrible man

I remember the Housing Bubble occurred under his watch and he had absolutely no idea what to do as Fed Chairman. Not a bad guy, but fairly ineffective as a Fed Chair.

This individual pushed to have those who wanted oversight of subprime lending practices and unethical packaging of mortgages by Wall Street, discredited and then removed from office. In a sense he caused the crisis and damaged both American interests and those of other nations materially. He was unwise, and suffered from unchecked hubris. He was an acolyte of Ayn Rand, and believed Government should do nothing to ensure ethical conduct of Wall Street. He ended his stellar early career discredited in the extreme.
