Description

In 1987, 60 Minutes' Ed Bradley reported on the popularity of a course about the Vietnam War at UC Santa Barbara, where students often heard directly from veterans who shared their experiences. "60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10. Thank you for posting this! My Dad never spoke of Vietnam to me. He wouldn’t even claim he was a Veteran due to survivors guilt. He eventually passed away after a 15 year battle with stage 4 cancer, likely caused from agent orange. Feels like we keep repeating things on all levels.

I taught history for 43 years. Whenever possible, I made sure I put the Vietnam War in the syllabus.
