Description

Everyone loves to complain about how California is governed...even some of the Democrats in our focus groups. So, how is the Democratic primary to replace Gavin Newsom shaping up? Plus, a proto-Trump is running for Los Angeles mayor, and Republicans are noticing beyond California. Puck News's Peter Hamby returns to the show to download on how California politics is shaping the rest of America in 2026. By Peter Hamby: California Love (https://puck.news/how-california-is-remaking-the-democratic-party/) Is Xavier Becerra the Best California Can Do? Apparently, I'm the outlier. I grew up in the Midwest and intentionally moved to California. Being here 2 years now, this place is fucking AWESOME!!! My wife and kids love it here and everyone is so damn nice! It reminds me of growing up around Midwest nice.

I lived in Sacramento and 10 years ago moved to Denver for 2 years for work and then moved to Dallas for 5 years for same company. Dallas was horrible! Rent was just as high as Sacramento and food was no cheaper and utilities were just as high! Needless to say I came back home❤❤❤❤

Born in San Francisco. Live in the Bay Area my whole life. The thought of moving to Texas gives me hives. Many who have done it regret it and are flocking back.

I was born in San Diego in 1946, and live in San Diego County now. I am not even close to affluent - but! California has excellent programs that support me /allow me to stay safely housed, fed, and medically protected, such that most other states fall far short. More critical to me: California is a beautiful place to live, and I would rather work to correct our errors than run away from them. Best to ALL everywhere you prefer to spend your life!

Having lived in CA, OR, NV, UT, NM, and AZ. California IS amazing! I would love to be able to live there again. Again, the cost of living keeps me out. The WORST places to me would be ANY gulf state, including TX and FL - two of the absolute worst places in the US.
