You get happiness from meaning. Not from doing pleasent things

Happiness is a very difficult goal to achieve, but a very attainable byproduct of living a good, meaningful life

MAID is objectively horrifying. I’ve heard stories of people calling for food assistance and they politely suggest that “you have other options“ where they suggest you end your own life (with state assistance, of course). How a first world nation could’ve gotten to this point is unbelievable to me.

A lot of people confuse happiness with meaning. Kids may not maximize ease, but they can completely transform purpose.

That women who said maid is beautiful is not to be trusted.

I’m in my 40s, married to a great husband, and raising three kids. And yes, some days are hard especially when work is stressful and life feels like a constant juggling act. But even on the tough days, my family gives my life so much meaning. Honestly, my life would feel pretty lame without all the chaos, noise, laughter, sports, homework, snacks moments. There is so much joy in watching my kids grow up, seeing who they are becoming, and doing my best to give them a good life. My hope is that when the time comes, they’ll have the confidence, values, and strength to navigate the world on their own. It’s not always easy, but it’s absolutely worth it, this gives me happiness & purpose.

Whenever I hear people talk about "happiness" then starts to refer to "data" I roll my eyes. It would be like listening to someone argue "the data shows that a pie tastes best at 6pm." By that point you've literally disappeared so far up numbers you need to take a step outside and literally touch some grass.

I have a boy of 8 yo with my wife, we weren' t expecting to have a baby at that time, but I can assure you, this little human being has given us all the meaning to our lifes for the rest of our time in this planet, no matter what circunstances we live, he gave us purpuse to and meaning of existing to both.
