I am a 60-year-old man and have been overweight for years. In November 2024, I learned my A1c was 6.7. Since I’d rather not take medication unless it’s absolutely necessary, I made it my mission to reverse my insulin resistance without medication. By July 2025, my A1c had dropped to 5.4—all without medication. I couldn’t have made this progress without the support of this channel. Here are two key things I did: Fasting once a week Consuming so many sardines that I now hesitate to swim in the ocean—in case a sardine school thinks I’m one of their own! Dr. Boz, you have my eternal gratitude for helping me along this journey.
I listened 1000 of podcast and hundreds on diabetes and i would give you the nobel price for your way of explaining, if i had the million dollars... but you deserve 1,000,000 thumbs up for sure.
I watched the video that explained insulin resistance so clearly and after trying a low histamine diet for 5 months, with no improvement, then an anti inflammatory diet for 5 months, with no effect, I started keto and within a week my muscle and back pain disappeared, a persistent rash cleared after 3 weeks. Thank you Dr. Boz!
Your dog's name is Keto ? I love it :-)
My doctor wants to put me on a statin which I don’t want to take. I’m 5’6 127 pounds, walk 4 miles a day and exercise, fast 16 hours every day, will admit I just cut out all sugar, and trying to eat healthy. I’m going to do this keto diet!!!!!!!
The "problem" is the fact for over 20 years I had different doctors tell me I was insulin resistant and I should eat more salad and get a little exercise, then "see you next year".
You already know that stopping all carbs going pure carnivore and fasting will reverse insulin resistance. It’s really that simple.
Annette is a true treasure.
Thank you, I’m working with the ideas. I’m down 150 lbs and my A1C is now 5. Still working on my lifestyle It’s lifestyle!!! 😮
Some of us tried to stop it early, but everything we were told by our doctors was wrong. My doctors never even tried to check me for insulin resistance. My sugar numbers came up normal. They never did a full hormone panel. They never bothered to look at me or do any kind of examination and notice that I had a lot of swelling and inflammation. Every setback I've had has been following the doctors lead, every improvement has been through my own searching and guessing making changes a few at a time.
