13 Foods You Should NEVER Buy Organic
The 13 Foods You Don't Need to Buy Organic (And What to Always Buy Organic)
Save 50-80% on groceries by skipping organic labels on 13 specific foods, then focus your budget on 11 foods where avoiding pesticides is crucial for health.
Short Summary
- Identify 13 foods—like sea salt, walnuts, and avocados—where the organic premium is typically a marketing ploy due to protective shells or inherent mineral/wild life nature.
- Prioritize buying organic for crops that absorb high pesticide loads, such as root crops, thin-skinned fruits, and grains treated with chemical drying agents (like glyphosate).
- Understand the precise definitions of "organic," "organic ingredients," and why "non-GMO" is not a sufficient substitute for organic labeling on certain grains.
This guide cuts through organic marketing hype to help you spend money wisely. You will learn which foods inherently pose low risk from conventional farming practices and which pose high risk due to thin skins or intentional chemical application during harvest.

Here's my 2 cents. While Dr. Berg is saying that it's 'safe' not to buy some of these foods organic, those chemicals sprayed don't just land on the fruits and nuts themselves, they heavily coat the entire plant and surrounding soil which the plant roots would ABSORB. I've followed Dr. Berg for years and trust most of what he says but as a gardener I disagree with his reasoning. The plants will absorb those chemicals and thus it ends up IN the edible products themselves.
Meanwhile, the government in America is spraying our food with dangerous chemicals, but illegal in Europe?! Disgusting, & shameful
In my opinion it's not just about poisonous stuff getting into my stomach, but into the environment as a whole. I prefer to support farmers that don't spray avocados, nuts, and bananas with toxic substances. Also, if they feed the plants with chemical fertilizer that also can make it's way into the food. I do agree that the term "organic" is often misused for marketing purposes!
I buy organic bananas…I know the skins are thick and no pesticides can affect the inside fruit. But I buy organic to support the workers who harvest the fruit.
Just so you know, I mainly did this video for those who just tell me over and over again, I can't afford healthy food, esp. organic. Ideally, buying 100% organic would be the best - but again, if given the choice between items I mentioned and a much lower quality food - then do the healthier conventional. When you see avocados at $3.50 each, it gets expensive and I have been people do testing and find ZERO pesticides on the inside.
The whole “organic” craze proves how the system manipulates us first with fake healthy labels, then with pills when our bodies inevitably fail. Junk food addiction is no accident, it’s design. I suffered with gut issues for years until Youth Protocol by dr Voss helped me see the bigger picture: my health problems weren’t random, they were engineered. That awareness made me change my habits in ways that actually worked.
Even if can't penetrate the shell, it will still saturate the soil and leach into the root system of the plant. It also depletes the soil of nutrients.
Should mention to wash the skin of the avocado before cutting it open so you're not pushing pesticides into the inner part.
I live in Puerto Rico I eat organic because here everything grows here.
Stopped drinking coffee and I drink herbal tea from my garden. Mint, chocolate mint, basil, dandelions, rosemary, Melissa, oregano, thyme.
