Great to see one of my favorite artists given the "Great Art Explained" treatment. An admirable woman, and such a character, who produced unique art. An artist painting in a similar style today is Catherine Abel. Thank you GAE!
An artist unknown to me. You pack a lot in to those 15 minutes!
So orderly, crisp and clean. Her paintings satisfies my OCD tendencies.

I vividly remember visiting Mexico City years ago and wandering around the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The building itself was mind-blowing on its own but once I climbed the stairs to the upper level, my life was literally changed. There was an exhibit of de Lempicka’s works and that was my very first introduction to her. I fell in love with her paintings! ❤ I had never seen anything like it before or since. I’m so grateful to have wandered aimlessly that day and discovered such captivating art.
i love this channel so much
I've been unfortunate to have somehow lived all my life without seeing Tamara in the Green Bugatti until now. Breathtaking. Lovely video as always!!
Wow, what an absolutely incredible style. I really appreciate your ability to continuously introduce people to artists they might not be familiar with, and give such a detailed crash course in what makes them stand out. Her work is absolutely oozing with character.
Love the connection of her Bugatti painting to the painting of Napoleon
I'm so happy for the episode. As a huge art deco fan (shout out bioshock), I've always seen Lempicka's work as THE art deco paintings, but somehow never got around to learning about the artist herself. This is hugely informative.
