So let's make like Superman and fly into this thing! The Iron Giant was directed by Brad Bird, the director who would go on to work with Pixar entertainment to produce the critically acclaimed Incredibles franchise. Bird previously worked at Disney Animation as an animator before he was fired by a bunch of uncreative dummies before grabbing a job as an Executive Consultant on the hit cartoon series “The Simpsons” from 1989-1996…and would use that experience to produce “The Iron Giant” in two and a half years: half the time that a normal animated feature film used to take during that time. The Iron Giant would be Brad Bird's directorial debut before moving on to such projects like Mission impossible Ghost protocol from 2011 and 2015's Tomorrowland.
