I wish schools would spend more time teaching of the sacrifices our founders made in order to forge our country into existence. These men were not perfect and like all men had flaws. However, I can't imagine many people alive today that would be willing to take the risks and make sacrifices of the magnitude these men willingly made.
Those men were real soldiers. Real men . They were beast for overcoming being out in the cold like they were. No shoes , and just being out in that weather , period. That’s not to mention low on or not having any food at all , and being sick. All of it together , but they had all of that to overcome , and they did.
I miss these documentaries.
My 7th great grandfather Ensign, Mathias Ringle born in old city Philadelphia in 1742 was George Washingtons master wagon maker for 7 years 1776 to 1783. Barely surviving Valley forge He ate frozen mice that he found. And almost froze and starved to death.
Absolutely amazing what a leader Washington was
Washington had phenomenal grit, and Edward Herman was a great voice
Washington forged his army at Valley Forge.. Pun intended.. lol
I grew up in the shadow of the Battle of Trenton and Battle of the Assunpink. It was a time when students were taught about such things, taught about the sacrifices of the soldiers who fought these brutal battles. In so doing, we grew up with the proper respect for our founders, our history and came to love my country. I still love my country and am proud to be an American. I will always be proud and thankful to those who came before us and are responsible for my liberty and freedom. ❤🇺🇸❤
Nobody had the swagger and balls of John Paul Jones and the crew of the Ranger. 1 ship sailing towards the entire British mainland.
is that james spader playing George Washinington? looks like him kinda. He would be a great Washington
