I suffer from public speaking anxiety for years. I learned to calm myself down with mindfulness of breathing as I stand there in front of the people. Instead of trying to not feel anxious, I accepted and embraced it, and let it go through me, then I could be able to give my presentation. Although I finished university this may still come in handy in the future. Very thankful for this episode professor!

This podcast came out 3 days before my first ever presentation in front of one of my prospective supervisors who is highly regarded in our department. I had no choice but to make a good impression. I applied the different techniques learned from this podcast ( deep breath before starting to speak, embrace the anxiety, try to make the presentation as much engaging as possible, stay in the moment, be present, and most importantly PREPARATION). I rehearsed at least three times and when the guest said that you learned so much while editing the slides, this couldn’t be more accurate. I’m not gonna lie, I aced the presentation, I owned everybody in the room. Grateful we still can find some good content on the internet. Thanks to Dr. Huberman for that.

I’m from Sri Lanka, and I have been following both of you for years. I often told myself, ‘When will these two finally do a podcast together?’ So I’m truly flattered to see you both collaborating on one now🎉🎉🎉

I'm 61 and lost my job. I have over 10 years experience in graphic design.Tons of experience. I freeze up in interviews and can't speak. I've tried memorizing and it's a disaster. I'm finding this fascinating and super helpful. Also love Matt, he's so authentic and speaks so well it's inspiring. Thanks for having him Andrew.

I got to speak at my dad’s funeral, he died shortly after his 99th birthday, and I used several of the techniques you described in this episode. Primarily, I practiced several times and I decided not to use notes. It went very well. Thank you very much for the great content. I very much enjoy your podcasts.

I used to scroll past comments where people recommended random books, but here I am now doing the same. That’s how much “Glow They Never Saw” by Zael Veynor” impacted me. It’s one of those rare books that doesn’t just give advice - it makes you feel understood and then pushes you to grow.
