The True Manufacturing Process of Egyptian Stone Vessels & Mace Heads Discovered | #69 Dr. Max FZ
Analyzing Ancient Technology: Stone Vessels, Mace Heads, and Nuclear Signatures
Discover the surprising scientific evidence demonstrating that pre-dynastic Egyptian stone vessels were manufactured using advanced turning techniques, challenging conventional archaeological timelines.
Short Summary
- Precision in the interior surfaces of Petrie Museum vessels rivals modern lathe work, contrasting sharply with their rougher, hand-polished exteriors.
- Analysis suggests creators manufactured three distinct artifacts—a mace head, a primary vessel, and a bottom piece—sequentially from a single stone block.
- Nuclear scientist Dr. Max detected anomalous traces of lead in some Petrie objects, suggesting prior exposure to radioactive materials.
- A major breakthrough proposes that common "mace heads" are actually repurposed, drilled-out clamping feet removed from the primary vessels after machining.
- This evidence indicates a high-technology manufacturing culture predating the established Dynastic period.
This discussion details the rigorous comparative analysis conducted on ancient stone artifacts using high-resolution 3D scanning and nuclear spectroscopy, providing crucial facts to re-evaluate ancient craftsmanship capabilities.

Brilliant, simple and elegant insights Matt! The three tiered/segmented production process concept is the best theory I've heard about these pieces since day one! I also think you may very well be on to something with your idea about the removal of the internal material one layer at a time. I've spent a lot of time thinking about these and turning 3d prints over in my hands and this episode just might prove to be the watershed moment that breaks the case. Great stuff!
Please leave a comment with your thoughts once you complete the episode. I talk for a little over an hour with max then I talk to Ryan to illustrate the manufacturing theory. Feedback welcome. Appreciate everybody!
This is why they need to chill out and start listening. We need them. And this demonstrates they definitely need us. Nice work guys.
'idk why youre looking at my beehive man, thats kinda weird' 😂 im so glad you joined these discussions, shared your vases and made a podcast!! Truly, youre so attentive and interested in all your guests and it really makes these episodes shine. You ask all the right questions and give the guest ample time to make their points and guide them to the next. I love the vibe on set, your vibes and the 3d printed vases are priceless. I hope your pillow is always cold and thank you for everything you do
This is the most interesting topic, hands down. The mystery of the vases really is the most important history item happening right now.
Amazing to hear such an objective approach to studying these vessels!! Thank you Matt and thank you Dr. Max for your hard work - please keep it up
Another Matt Beall podcast ... how happy am I right now.
BTW, Matt I think you are spot on with the three tier process , no waste. as Ryan says , Simple and BRILLIANT deduction !!!
Highly interesting. Great dr. Max is cooperating in the vase testing. Thanks for sharing as always.
your vase collection and research efforts are going to change the world and i am 100% ready for the paradigm shift.
