Mel, I so needed to hear this today. I was thinking this morning how I wanted to have more fun in my life. I’m almost 71 years old and have always cared about embarrassing myself and what others thought. I even thought about all the fun I have missed out on over the years. Why do I care about what others think?! don’t know, but now I don’t care! Thank you Mel! This has changed my life!

On my 36th birthday, i hosted a party where i made everyone wear birthday hats, and made everyone play musical chairs. Pushed all the furniture at home to the sides, brought out all the chairs in the house into the living room and it was so much fun. Everyone was like how silly is it, but it ended up so competitive with the classical chair pull at the end... best memories ever.

My daughter is a doctor who works in a hospital. Every Halloween she goes to work with creative costumes she makes. Last year she was a roller derby skater with wild hair, black eye, helmet, etc. and actually roller skated all around the hospital for her entire shift. Every year is a new idea and she has a complete blast and so do those around her. Every year I cannot wait to see her new persona. She sends me videos from the hospital as she embraces the surprised looks and laughter from patients and those who work with her. She is 51 and she seeks joy actively.

Hi Mel~ Every Friday I do Dance Party Friday! No news or doom & gloom! When my grandkids were little (now most of them are young adults) they know every Friday is still Dance Party Friday! And my adult kids know that every Friday is Dance Party Friday too! I don’t care if it’s even just me here it’s gonna be Dance Party Friday! I have a set list that I’ve been playing for at least 10 years. People can add songs if they want, but every Dance Party Friday always starts with “Party Train” by the Gap Band❤️ Everybody all aboard!❤️ I Love You!

This guy Barry is 100% correct. I'm 58 and feel so sorry for the younger people today. There are too many robots out there who forgot how to laugh and be silly; we're all so "busy" locked in on our phones and political correctness. Bring back the fun and chaos!

My husband is always on the fun bus. He starts singing when he walks in to work. At first his co workers were like! .. why do you always sing when you walk into work? And my husband responded… why not!! Now the whole office smiles and laughs when he sings. Than there are those who cross their Arms and frown.

I’m 67 and this is exactly right. We went to lunch for my 22 year old grandson birthday. The waitress later told us “it’s so nice to hear customers laughing”
