I'm from the Dominican Republic, dreams are so important in our culture that many people plan, or cancel plans according to the meaning. There's a person in most families that arranges dreams to help you understand the meaning and even what lottery numbers you can play. This is Indigenous and African ancestral, valued, and respected knowledge. Our ancestors understood this before there was academic language for it.
I remember every dream I have at nite. And even if I wake in the middle of a dream I can go back asleep and continue that dream crazy ❤
I am 66 years old and have dreamt all my life. I've had half a dozen recurring dreams that went on for decades. I lost my brother 24 years ago and have had him in my dreams for years, to the point where I can distinguish what is a dream about him and what is a visitation. When he is in the dream, I can halt the dream then re-enter it and consciously enjoy the company of my brother in the dream.
I'm so happy to see this topic, as a certified advanced teacher of Active Dreaming, seeing the topic of dreams taken seriously and made more mainstream is amazing! Thanks 🥰
I consume a lot of content on this strange thing called the internet, and I have a lot of strong views about people...but I can honestly say that is rare for me to actively stop and want to listen to every word that other humans are saying and feel like I have actually learned something useful and progressive. Mel and Dr Jandial, you two are exceptional and I thank you immensely for this episode. And wishing you all health, wealth, success, happiness and the grace of God, always.
Let's all watch this from our beds and then review our dreams after a month.
I take dreams seriously but never occurred to me I could “manage” them. After watching the episode, I did some somatic exercises and then asked my higher mind to have dreams that align me with my higher self, dreams that could serve me, fell asleep and had two emotional dreams that felt very special, spiritual, and healing . Love the episode!
I dream every day, and I think dreaming actually helps relieve the pressure that accumulates inside us.
When I was around 12 years old, I wanted to learn to dive in our community pool. But I was terrified of going headfirst into a body of water. One night, I had a dream that I dove into a pool with no fear at all. The next day, our family had planned on going to the pool. I stood at the edge, imagined I was in the dream, and dove right in without fear. I felt amazing!
Im so glad to see this podcast I’m still listening I am such a dreamer and most things I can’t make sense of but honestly I love dreaming sometimes it’s lucid My subconscious communicates a lot with me through dreams and sometimes even predicts outcomes or the future …. I’ve even started having visions! An example Before I found out my sister was pregnant I was meditating and saw a baby in a uterus but lots of bleeding the next day my sister told me she’s pregnant but she was so scared because she’s bleeding a lot. Fast forward a week or two later I had this strong male energy visit me it was my nephew! And he just asked me if he’s loved I suppose because we were all so scared and not excited shame and he left and I called my sister and said you’re having a boy and she said she feels it too. Well he’s 1 and thriving now.
