“A graveyard of the old versions of ourselves.” Now that’s powerful! 🙌
Girl, some of us can’t afford a whole new wardrobe 😂
Letting go of what no longer fits; physically or mentally; creates space for who you’re becoming. Growth often starts with releasing the past.
Professional organizer here - most people live in museums. Not intentionally created spaces. They’re more concerned about the past than living their real life TODAY. They buy things without knowing why. I wish more people would free themselves from STUFF. There’s actually people, animals and the earth to connect to!
Interesting....... In my past life I wore a lot of suits and dresses. After retiring I slid comfortably into blue jeans and t-shirts. Yesterday I was cleaning out my closet with the intent of getting rid of some things when I realized I was not dressing the way I really enjoy dressing. I saved a couple of my suits and kept all of my dresses. The blue jeans will come in handy when I'm doing yard work or housework but I decided when I walk out the door even if it's only to the grocery store, going forward I'm going to be wearing one of my pretty dresses just because.....
My daughter is wearing a dress I wore in college and it is so special. Keep certain clothes, sell and donate the rest.
This has been so me, I’m slowly learning to let go. I have clothes I haven’t worn in over 5 years and still keep them!
I cleaned my closet yesterday after I watched this episode.
I do love this concept but I think it's really funny that she says when you walk into your closet.. lol My closet's a door I can't walk in it
I used to wear a lot of polyester. Now I try to wear cotton and linen. I used to want to feel "soft", but now I just want my skin to breathe.
